The woven landscape.

I spent almost a month this past October in Laos weaving with a group of the most magical women and this image seems to sum up my time spent and the journey that lead me there.

I had spent the better part of my early career learning how to deconstruct and get to the essence of a project or thought or painting or work of art. It was my job to learn how to distill an emotion in one click of a camera or find just the perfect edit.

After a long time indoors during the pandemic, something shifted and I wanted to learn how to bring things together and piece unlike objects and to start to rebuild. My soul shifted and my interest in weaving and the journey of how to tell stories through layers and weaving started to emerge.
