I’m a New York-based creative director/design lead and strategic thinker with a love for dogs and asian food.

Before I fully landed in NYC, I lived in Providence, Los Angeles and D.C.

I started out working for ARCHITECTURE magazine, seeing the work of the venerable J. Abbott Miller come to life. I loved the subject matter and the beautiful grids of the magazine. I loved making drawings of floorplans in Illustrator. I did not love D.C., so I packed my bags and decided to return to NYC. I wrote a letter to Gael Towey asking if there were any roles for me at the magazine, Martha Stewart Living. There was a role that would be perfect for me, so I interviewed and I got the job. The next 7 years were spent making magical books, layouts and photographs for the brand while collaborating with exceptionally talented creatives—many of whom remain close friends today, and some I now consider family. A complete list of the remarkable people I worked with at Martha Stewart Living is available here.

In those early days after moving to the city, my dear friend and I harbored dreams of creating A2 Paperie — our own little stationery brand and printing press tucked into New York City. I'd cross the Atlantic to Paris, meeting with the owners of Marie Papier, imagining a beautiful new outpost in Soho. C'est dommage, the financials never aligned to bring our vision to life.

After working for Martha Stewart, I found myself needing a bit of time off, so I went to live in Quintana Roo and read a lot of Joan Didion while dreaming about my future life as a freelancer.

I came back to NYC, and started to freelance with many brands: I had the opportunity to shift from home to fashion, thanks Chuck!

I went on to work in home, fashion and beauty, focusing on the luxury market, which brought me around the world to work on projects. I did long term stays in Rome, Paris, Laos, Tunisia, Quintana Roo and Bali, just to name a few.

Most of my career I was working at Martha Stewart and J. Crew but also had the opportunity to work on the agency side, with agencies such as Baron + Baron, Laird + Partners, Landor Associates, Spade & Partners, Angry Gods and brands such as Tiffanys, Coach, Tory Burch, and West Elm.

The next years were full of white labeling on the agency side and working as a small agency myself. I wore many hats including:  creative director + strategist  project manager  web & product design lead  video director and editor  brand director.

In 2018, I joined Capgemini as creative lead for our NYC and Ann Arbor teams. Together, we delivered 32 websites, 15 email programs, and numerous content systems that brought brands to life. I'm particularly proud of our work for Kate Spade and Holigos, as well as creating and developing a new wholesale clothing brand from the ground up. Despite Capgemini's scale, we accomplished all of this with a remarkably lean and agile team.

In 2020, I left Capgemini to work on a project for a home brand that ultimately led me to go back for a third time and work for Martha Stewart to create a new look for Martha.com and the new brand vision.

Working with a recent college grad, I developed her complete digital presence from the ground up. This became the defining project where everything converged — my background in home and fashion, brand building, creative direction, UX/UI, e-commerce, and Shopify expertise — resulting in a comprehensive site and 360° experience that represents my best work. I was also fortunate to reunite with Jen D., the talented IA I'd worked with at Capgemini.

Today, I partner with founders and teams as an independent creative head—launching new brands, revamping existing ones, and leading projects that need an experienced creative to take ownership and drive results. My strength lies in establishing the creative foundation that teams can build upon, whether they're working with brands to create a bespoke typography for another agency to recreate and build out or evolve the brand identity I've established. Brand building isn't just a teachable skill—it requires intuition, instinct, and the ability to live and breathe a brand as if it's your own.

I'm a firm believer in mood boards and collaborative brainstorming. During an on-site session with one brand, I pitched a new product concept that has since launched and become one of their best-sellers. (A special thanks to my dog Jacques — his love of snow and stubborn refusal to wear anything but musher's wax provided the inspiration.)

Currently I am a contracted Creative Director at Williams Sonoma and White House Black Market, just to name a few. I love being able to go full circle and work with my talented boss from Martha Stewart. The incredibly talented James D.

I love to learn about artisans and crafts for meditative purposes. My most recent exploration was in Laos where I spent many weeks learning indigineous natural dying, aboriginal basket weaving and southeast asian loom silk weaving. More of my crafts will start to appear here.

I volunteer at the AIGA and I work closely with RISD as the co-chair of the NYC RISD Alumni and chair of the Metcalf Society, with the mission of creating more community for artists and designers.

I love an amazing cocktail and I love to visit cocktail bars on my travels. My friends and I have decided we will start a cocktail in NYC at some point and call it provenance. I am starting to collect my ideas for this project in my journal.

My love of travel began in high school when I walked into a New York City travel agency, chose an itinerary that spoke to me, and boarded a plane solo for my first tour abroad. From that moment, I knew I'd spend my life exploring new places and sharing those discoveries with others. This passion led to the creation of SaltedAir — my playground for all things travel.

Those early travels sparked my fascination with architecture and hotels—I dreamed of becoming an architect or interior designer in hospitality. I began studying Architecture at RISD but ultimately followed my love of design into graphic design at RISD, while also taking courses at Brown University in Art History and Eastern Religion. A semester in Rome at the Cenci, studying Italo Calvino's writings and the letterforms of the Roman Forum, cemented my aesthetic sensibilities. To this day, I have a soft spot for a beautifully designed hotel and can't help but admire a perfectly crafted serif.

Before all of this, I was a gymnast, I played a few instruments and was the youngest member of the Tibetan Buddhist Learning Center.
